While working on project one in class there are a few key things that I have learned about graphic design. I found in many situations while creating my design for my initials, that simplicity was often best and stood out most. Bold interesting fonts and bright colors drew my attention to the message of the project rather than cluttered words or a lot of different things going on such as colors, fonts, and shapes. Simple designs I was coming up with seemed to give off a much more distinguished and professional look. The collage project that we did before starting with inDesign also helped me get a sense for what I wanted to graphically create.
