We Are the Superlative Conspiracy
One of my all time favorite clothing lines is WeSC clothing, which stands for we are the superlative conspiracy. The graphic designs and fonts that they use has been something that has always caught my interest and drawn me to their clothes.
Paul Hutchinson is the name of the graphic designer who does most of WeSC's graphic designs for things like graphic t shirts, to the artwork in the boutique stores that Wesc sells their clothing and accessories out of. I am a huge fan of his work and have been looking over his work for quite some time now. He has done the graphic designs for companies such as Nike, Stussy, Quicksilver, and Wesc. Paul was also the man who created the graphic design for Lance Armstrong's Nike campaign which was the Nike check with a yellow circle around.
Although Paul does a lot of different clothing companies, he has also branched out and done designs for wine bottles, musicians C.D. covers, and even the cover of a book from UCLA called "Investing in Champions." To me, Paul puts a very new age design to his graphic artwork, his designs appeal to the younger generations. As a lot of kids are saying nowadays Paul's "swag" that he puts into his artwork, makes the youth feel cool wearing one of his designs.

While working on project one in class there are a few key things that I have learned about graphic design. I found in many situations while creating my design for my initials, that simplicity was often best and stood out most. Bold interesting fonts and bright colors drew my attention to the message of the project rather than cluttered words or a lot of different things going on such as colors, fonts, and shapes. Simple designs I was coming up with seemed to give off a much more distinguished and professional look. The collage project that we did before starting with inDesign also helped me get a sense for what I wanted to graphically create.
